The small Glendive RV Park office had some interesting historical relics - lots of arrowheads and shell casings from the battlefields. This original
Bismarck Tribune Newspaper from July 6, 1876, gives a gruesome account of Custer's last stand
"Massacred - General Custer and 261 Men the Victims." Traversing Montana (driving US Hwy#2) we crossed 3 rivers: Missouri (pictured), Yellowstone and the Milk (3 or 4 times).
Not much to write about. We saw lots of road, RR-tracks and fields - a few antelope from a distance. Interestingly, we passed and met a number of bikers on the route - not sure where they were headed.
Lots of grain elevators along the RR tracks - some in use, others abandoned.
Tomorrow we will cross into Canada - Shelby is 35 miles south of Sweetgrass (the Port of Entry.)
Happy 4th of July! Sounds like you are off to a good start. I have no idea how to blog so forgive me if there are some oops along the way.
